Not a sustainability model as described in the previous examples. Organisations can effectively
work together in supporting a resource by contributing administration, skills and technology
resources
Advantages
Financially advantageous model due to economies of scale
Attractive within the current reduction in budgets
Fosters good sharing practice amongst supporting institutions
Disadvantages
Require significant up-front planning and ongoing management

This could work for WODAN if government or commercially funded bodies felt that the
database was a good enough product to amalgamate resources on.
