5. Set the IP search range<br />

‣ Select in the navigation area Settings > Driver > netX Driver.<br />

The window <strong>for</strong> driver settings opens.<br />

An IP address (one) or IP addresses (several, address range) are set in<br />

this window which SYCON.net uses to build up a connection to the proxy<br />

device.<br />

‣ Select (as shown in the figure above):<br />

Select the tap TCP Connection.<br />

Is the Select IP Range grayed out (as shown above), then no IP<br />

range is defined.<br />

Click on + to add a new range, which enables the field below.<br />

Otherwise an address range configured earlier can be selected or by a<br />

mouse click on + a new address range can be configured. Set the IP<br />

(start) address (<strong>and</strong> end address) the proxy devices are searched <strong>for</strong>.<br />

Make sure that the proxy device can be reached via Ethernet <strong>and</strong> is<br />

reachable via the address range.<br />

The fields to configure an IP address range are enabled.<br />
