• zRead the narrative to the participants in a slow and meditative
manner providing participants a chance to create their own images
and to remember their thoughts and feelings as the narrative
is being read. Having already familiarized yourself with the narrative,
give some time to pause after every statement or question
and between every memory point. Explain to the participants that
it is okay to ‘jump’ from one memory to another if it is impossible
to visualize or associate with the narrative being read.
Read the narrative: An ordinary day in the middle of the week
In school, you recognise someone you are very fond of:-
• zWho was this person?
• zWhat are your feelings for this person: Someone you have fallen in love with from a distance?
A dear close friend whom you have fallen in love with? Did you desire intimacy with this person?
Did you want to spend long moments together with this person? Did you want to reach
out and gently touch this person?
• zWere you able to communicate your affection with this person: Maybe, you were afraid to
communicate your feelings with this person? What would you have liked to say to this person?
What eventually gave you the confidence to say something to or share your feelings with
this person? What did you say? What did he or she say?
• zStay in this moment for a while.
