Annex<br />
Andy Naylor Memorial Run<br />
<strong>Administrative</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Logistic</strong> <strong>Arrangement</strong><br />
Racecourse<br />
All participants will start the run at the Drill Square <strong>and</strong> along Kwai Ho Bridge,<br />
Police School Road (E/B), Slip Road, Operational Fitness Training Area, Slip Road, Police<br />
School Road (W/B), Shun Tai Road <strong>and</strong> finish at the Drill Square. The total distance is<br />
about one Km. For details, please see Appendix I.<br />
Categories<br />
2. There are two categories of entry, namely, Team Relay Competition<br />
<strong>and</strong> Individual Competition. For the Team Relay Competition, each team will comprise<br />
four relay runners who will each run a full course, the same course for the Individual<br />
Competition.<br />
Enrollment<br />
3. Entry Form for both Team Competition <strong>and</strong> Individual Competition is attached at<br />
Appendix II.<br />
4. For Force members <strong>and</strong> their families - please complete the entry form <strong>and</strong> pass<br />
it to the respective TSRO / Formation Sports Coordinators together with a copy of the<br />
bank deposit slip for the appropriate entry fee for consolidation. TSRO / Formation<br />
Sports Coordinators may log onto the PAC Webpage (www.hkpac.com) <strong>and</strong> make on-line<br />
entries for their officers. Thereafter, please send a copy of the entry form <strong>and</strong> the deposit<br />
slip to Mr. WONG Yee-keung by fax at 2200 4428 as soon as possible.<br />
5. For all other participants –please complete the entry form, attach a copy of the<br />
entry fee deposit slip to it <strong>and</strong> send to Mr. YEUNG Hung-por by mail to 9/F, NTN Regional<br />
Headquarters, No. 6 On Po Lane, Tai Po, New Territories, OR Mr. WONG Yee-keung by Fax<br />
at 2200 4428.<br />

Trophies<br />
Team Competition : The fastest three Teams.<br />
Individual Competition : The fastest ten male <strong>and</strong> ten female runners.<br />
Entry Fee <strong>and</strong> Payment<br />
Team Competition : A minimum of $10,000 per each team<br />
Individual Competition : A minimum of $500 per each runner.<br />
8. As all the entry fees will be deposited into the immediate family of the late Mr.
Naylor, participants are encouraged to raise as many donation as possible <strong>and</strong> are not<br />
precluded from participating in this run if their donated entry fees are marginally less<br />
than the required amounts. Entry fees paid will not be refunded in any circumstances.<br />
9. Participants are requested to deposit entry fees directly into the following bank<br />
account for the family on or before 10 September 2012 :<br />

Rules<br />

<br />
As a significant portion of the route is narrow <strong>and</strong> will be used by runners in both<br />
directions during the run, it is emphasized that all runners must use the right<br />
h<strong>and</strong> side of the trail at all times;<br />
All relays must be conducted within the designated ‘Relay Zone’;<br />
The 3 rd leg of all competing teams must finish their laps within 30 minutes from<br />
the commencement of the run. In case of failure, the last leg for their teams will not<br />
be allowed to continue with the relay <strong>and</strong> their team result will be disqualified.<br />
The organizer reserves the right of making all judgments for all results in the run<br />
<strong>and</strong> rejecting the participation of any team or individual runner.<br />
Public Transport<br />
10. The Police Foundation Training Centre is accessible by public transport from<br />
Causeway Bay, Admiralty MTR Station <strong>and</strong> Western District. A map showing the location<br />
of bus stops in the proximity of the Centre is attached at Appendix III.<br />
11. No parking facility at Police Foundation Training Centre will be provided for any<br />
participants.<br />
Registration <strong>and</strong> Number Bibs<br />
12. The Registration Counter will open at 9.00 am on the event day. All participants<br />
are requested to personally report to the Registration Counter for confirmation of<br />
attendance <strong>and</strong> collection of Number Bibs <strong>and</strong> ChampionChip®.<br />
13. All runners are to wear numbered bibs prominently at the front during the run.<br />
Time Chips<br />
14. The ChampionChip® has kindly sponsored the timing keeping service<br />
<strong>and</strong> provision of all runner bibs for the run.<br />
15. All participants will wear ChampionChip® during the run. The ChampionChip®<br />
shall be securely fastened with shoelace.
Baggage Deposit<br />
16. Baggage deposit service will be provided at the Drill Shed of the Police<br />
Foundation Training Centre as indicated in the Appendix I. However, participants are<br />
advised to avoid depositing large baggage or valuable items. The organizer will bear no<br />
responsibility to the loss or damage of any deposited property.<br />
First Aid <strong>and</strong> Refreshment<br />
17. First aid service is available from the First-aid Stations deployed at two separate<br />
locations as indicated on the map at Appendix I.<br />
18. Bottled drinking water will be provided for all participants at the Finishing Point.<br />
Memorial Apparel<br />
19. A limited number of specially designed running apparel will be available for sale<br />
on 22 September 2012 at a designed Sale Counter at the Drill Shed. After deduction of<br />
the factory production cost, all proceeds of the sale of this memorial apparel will be<br />
donated to the immediate family of the late Mr. Naylor.<br />
Additional Notes<br />
20. The readers of this message are requested to consider setting up a st<strong>and</strong>ing<br />
order for monthly auto-pay into the aforesaid entry fee account if they wish to help<br />
sustain a long-term donation towards the education <strong>and</strong> well-being of the late Mr.<br />
Naylor’s children.<br />
Inclement Weather<br />
21. The run will be postponed if the Hong Kong Observatory has issued black<br />
rainstorm warning or typhoon signal number 8 or above. Date of the postponed event<br />
will be announced in due course.<br />
Police Athletics Club<br />
August 2012
