The first examples had a short square cornered section end section added, roughly 2ft in height. This<br />
design appears not to have been used on that many and altered to the much widely used second<br />
design of extension. This was roughly 4ft in height, depending on whether it was an OBA or OCA<br />
which had different height ends, but the top corners were angled. Interestingly there are some odd<br />
examples where the shorter OCA extension has been used on an OBA, possibly as a repair so the<br />
total height is shorter. This is more striking with the livery variation as can be seen with 112387 in the<br />
photo above.<br />

All the conversions feature removable stanchions of two designs which retained either 3 or 4 stacks of<br />
timber. The original square hollow style fit into pockets welded to and protrude above the floor edge.<br />
