The VDA conversions either carried EWS maroon or Kronospan blue. Unlike the OBA/OCA<br />

conversions, data panels and numbers were carried on the ends. Numbers also carried in various<br />

places on the floor edge or solebar depending type of stanchion pocket fitted.<br />

In total there were 171 conversions and were all eventually put in store at various locations, if not<br />

having been scrapped earlier, when the KFA conversions came into use in 2007.<br />

Hopefully I’ve done justice to these wagon types, if not let me know and I’ll pass it on. A future Wagon<br />

Review will feature the later KFA Ferrywagon conversions and the latest Rover cube conversions, the<br />

latter though I have yet to see.<br />
