Due to its vast size you really needed to be<br />
there all day if you wanted to see everything as<br />
well as go for a ride on the resident DMU and<br />
join the afternoon tour. It was good to see the<br />
two Europhoenix Cl. 87s on show and not far<br />
away was the test track complete with overhead<br />
wires - something I had not seen at Long<br />
Marston before. Both days were predominantly<br />
dry although Saturday appears to have had<br />
more sunshine. For my visit on Sunday it was<br />
mostly cloudy with a little hazy sunshine and a<br />
short shower mid way through the guided tour<br />
which incidentally was excellently given by<br />
Motorail UK Ltd Chief Executive Ruth Flack-<br />
Dunmore.<br />
