SERVICE DESCRIPTION
The federation provides services for farmers and consumers through certified farmers' markets located
in Los Angeles County and throughout the state of California. Certified farmers' markets are approved
by the county's agricultural commissioner and operate in accordance with regulations established by the
California Department of Food and Agriculture. Certification guarantees that the consumer is
purchasing directly from the producer. Services are provided from seventy-four locations in Los Angeles
County. There are no geographic restrictions.
These open-air markets provide farm-fresh produce directly to the consumer, often at a substantial
savings. Most markets are open year-round, rain or shine. Products typically available include fresh
fruits and vegetables; eggs; nuts; honey; cut flowers; plants; and fresh fish.

FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE
Growers pay a percentage of their gross sales to participate. Consumers may use CalFresh or cash to
