hospitality for over four decades now. He’s reinvigorated our cast,
assembled a cracking crew and is looking forward to our opening
night with a mixture of excitement and trepidation.

Christine runs our Food & Beverage department
with military precision and theatrical flair.

Pascal Bertrand
Production Director, LUX* Belle Mare, Mauritius
Imagination, expertise, enthusiasm – in three words, that’s Pascal.
Following acclaimed performances throughout Europe and the
Middle East, Pascal now raises the roof nightly in Mauritius.
Likes: Cho-cho roti fresh from the market.
Jean Pierre Auriol
Production Director, LUX* Le Morne, Mauritius
Having directed for leading international hotel groups since 1978,
Jean Pierre’s passion for detail has become his hallmark while his
dry humour and joie de vivre inspire all with whom he works.
Likes: Hiking in the Macchabee Forest.
Brice Lunot
Production Director, LUX* Grand Gaube, M auritius
Having trodden the boards in Bora Bora and Tahiti, island life
productions come naturally to Brice. Known for his debonair
finesse and flair, Brice joined the Company in 2007.

Stéphane Baras
Production Director, LUX* Ile de La Réunion
Noted for his great love of French culture and tradition,
Stéphane is also an avid traveller who understands the needs
of his guests implicitly and shares the same dreams.
Likes: Keeping an eye out for white-tailed tropicbirds.
Dominik Ruhl
Production Director, LUX* Maldives
For over ten years, Dominik has been a Maldives performer
of note and few know their way around the atolls like Herr Ruhl
where he continues to meet the demands of leading his own
island with great aplomb.
Likes: Jamming to a Bodu Beru (‘Big Drum’) performance.
Sheila Malloo
Guest Relations, LUX* Belle Mare
Sheila has the grace of a dancer and the face
of an angel. It’s our good luck that she can’t sing
– otherwise she’d be on the stage instead of
looking after our guests so well front of house.

Manie Nursigadoo
Show Coordinator, LUX* Le Morne
Manie creates beautiful weddings
at LUX* La Morne and nothing gives her greater
pleasure than to see one of her brides taking
centre stage on the couple’s special day.

Isabelle is our fantastic front office manager who
ensures that all of her special audience members
make their entrances and exits on time.

Diren Seebaluck
Restaurant Manager, LUX* Grand Gaube
Diren runs a restaurant and manages a team
of ten but his true love is creating a memorable
atmosphere for his guests.
Likes: Watching the catch of the day arrive
at the harbour.
Ibrahim Sinan
Bar waiter, LUX* Maldives
Known for his flair and for his flaring, when Sinan
isn’t mixing magical mojitos, he lives with his family
on Dhigurah, the closest locally-inhabited island.
Likes: Painting island scenes.
Marius Beekharry
Food & Beverage, LUX* Belle Mare
Marius is a passionate epicurean and a gifted
promoter for the fragrant, evocative flavours
of the LUX* Island Kitchen.

Vik Chuttur
Food & Beverage, LUX* Le Morne
Vik’s approach to food is modern and yet refreshingly
approachable. Popular with staff and guests alike,
he loves to surprise and to delight.

Willy Atchama Sagalou
Restaurant Maître D’, LUX* Ile de La Réunion
Willy is a dining room professional with the reparti
of a born entertainer. His great eye for decoration
helps him to stage truly memorable events.
