urban lifestyles. But after three or four
days of doing nothing and catching up on
sleep, some of us get itchy feet and may
fancy upping the pace now and then. If
you’re one of us and would like the party
to continue when the band stops, LUX* has
developed a late entertainment excursion
service where we’ll accompany you to
popular island hotspots. Whatever vibe
you’re looking for – chilled out beach
party, pumping club or a glass of bubbly
at a chichi lounge, we know the see and
be seen and can also arrange guestlist
access with a little notice. We’ll even make
sure you get there and back in one piece,
no matter how high your heels or how
potent the local rum. Lionel Richie, eat

Game, set
& match
Here at LUX*, we are not averse to
a bit of friendly competition and we
even encourage a little family or interguest
rivalry. It’s all in good spirit though
so ultra-competitive dads please stay
ringside! From time to time we’ll set up
a new game in a new location, so whether
you’re a village century maker, a volleyball
voyeur, a soccer star in the making or a
badminton bad boy, there’ll be plenty
of opportunity to show us your reverse
sweep, Pele strike or overhead smash.
For active souls rather less inclined to
throwing themselves around the sand,
there’s aqua aerobics, pétanque, croquet
and more, with indoor games available from
reception and outdoor games scattered
around the grounds. Let the games begin.

If you are a sports fanatic and can’t
bear the thought of missing a major
sporting event, welcome to Final
Whistle – an impromptu area that we’ll
set up whenever there’s a big match
on. Embracing the notion of sport
as a social ritual, fans of all colours
can gather to catch up on the latest
action accompanied by ice-cold beers,
fruit juices and deliciously indulgent
snacks such as burgers, chips and
lamb shawarma wraps. Some evening
fixtures may be projected on our
Screen on the Beach, while daytime
games will be shown in the Bar, but
whatever sport you’re into – from
football, rugby, cricket and tennis to
the Olympics (Summer and Winter) or
Formula One racing, you can enjoy all
the action with a generous side order
of atmosphere thrown in.

And we’re not talking about Julie Andrews
here, although she could yodel the goats
off a Swiss mountain. No, we refer to Vivaldi,
Mozart, Beethoven and Rachmaninov et al.
