PUREED COLD CUT SANDWICH (CONTINUED)<br />

HOW TO PREPARE:<br />

Bread Layer:<br />

1. Crumble bread into blender or food processor. Add hot water and blend until smooth in texture.<br />

2. Add RESOURCE ® PUREE APPEAL ® Pureed Food Enhancer and blend briefly until mixed, scraping sides if necessary. Divide bread mixture in half:<br />

spread half evenly into pan coated with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside the second half of bread mixture for top layer of sandwich.<br />

Meat and Cheese Layer:<br />

3. Puree meat with hot water until smooth in texture.<br />

4. Add RESOURCE ® PUREE APPEAL ® Pureed Food Enhancer and blend briefly until mixed, scraping sides if necessary. Spread evenly over first layer.<br />

5. Place cheese slices on top in single layer.<br />

Bread Layer:<br />

6. Spread second half of bread mixture evenly over the cheese.<br />

7. Cover tightly and bake in conventional oven at 350ºF until temperature reaches 150-160ºF, or knife inserted near center comes out clean. Let set for 5 -<br />

10 minutes before cutting. NOTE: Convection Oven – bake at 300ºF for 10 – 15 minutes less time. Pressureless Steamer – Cook in steamer for 10 – 15<br />

minutes less time. Times are approximate and should be adjusted for differences in oven and steamer conditions.<br />

8. <strong>Cut</strong> into 3 x 5 inch portions and serve. Garnish with mustard, catsup, mayonnaise or pureed relish, if desired.<br />
