Alzheimer’s Services<br />
Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area teamed with other nonprofits<br />
to care for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders, who sometimes<br />
have been abandoned by family members or have weak family structures.<br />
ASCA also created Memory Café in <strong>2011</strong> for group counseling of people<br />
with early onset Alzheimer’s. (Grants by Credit Bureau of Baton Rouge,<br />
a supporting organization of the Foundation, to this organization was<br />
$12,442. In total, the Credit Bureau Foundation gave $780,000 from its<br />
charitable fund last year.)<br />
