Fact Sheet<br />
• Turn the festival into an annual signature event of <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong>, building on the inaugural success<br />
<strong>and</strong> enriching the festival’s scale <strong>and</strong> content.<br />
• Create a business platform for the tourism, retail <strong>and</strong> catering sectors.<br />
• Provide visitors <strong>and</strong> local residents alike with a quality experience, <strong>and</strong> increase <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong>’s<br />
international exposure <strong>and</strong> publicity, thereby reinforcing the city’s image as the “Culinary<br />
Capital of Asia”.<br />
Three New Elements<br />
• Gr<strong>and</strong> Tasting Pavilion: a designated <strong>and</strong> specially arranged area to showcase premium wines.<br />
• Sunset Tasting with <strong>Wine</strong> Collectors: HKTB Chairman Mr James Tien, HKTB Board Member<br />
Mr Peter Lam, <strong>and</strong> the Cazes family (arranged by Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce <strong>and</strong><br />
Industry) have each donated a 6-litre premium wine for tasting. These three bottles of wine will<br />
each be opened between 29 <strong>and</strong> 31 October for tasting from 5pm to 6pm. The first 150<br />
participants who purchase the Gr<strong>and</strong> Tasting Pass for the day via Cityline will be entitled to the<br />
tasting*.<br />
• Kitchen Session with Master Chefs: Michelin-starred chefs from France <strong>and</strong> chefs from<br />
award-winning local restaurants will create dishes for participants to sample <strong>and</strong> pair with fine<br />
wines.<br />

Booths Over 230 booths will provide food <strong>and</strong> wine from all over the world with<br />
pairing tips <strong>and</strong> exhibit wine paraphernalia.<br />
� 172 wine booths will showcase various wine offerings from 16<br />
countries, including Argentina, Australia, France (Bordeaux <strong>and</strong><br />
other regions), Canada, Chile, Germany, Italy, Macedonia &<br />
Slovenia , New Zeal<strong>and</strong>, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, the United<br />
States, as well as first-time participants China <strong>and</strong> Hungary.<br />
� 63 food booths will offer local award-winning dishes ranging from<br />
Chinese to Western <strong>and</strong> other Asian cuisines, including Bordeaux<br />
tasting plates, Chinese barbeque food <strong>and</strong> seafood, French <strong>and</strong><br />
Italian delicacies, Japanese Sushi <strong>and</strong> Southeast Asian cuisines, <strong>and</strong><br />
a variety of local delicacies. Also, there will be a “Best of the Best<br />
Avenue”, where locals <strong>and</strong> visitors can sample winning dishes of the<br />
“Best of the Best Culinary Awards”.<br />

Tasting<br />
Original price is HK$300 (special price of HK$270 for American Express<br />
cardmembers), which includes:<br />
� An electronic pass (for redemption of five wine tastings <strong>and</strong> five<br />
food samplings), a Stölzle wine glass <strong>and</strong> a souvenir*. Add-value<br />
service of the Pass for wine tasting is available at the cashier booth<br />
of the Gr<strong>and</strong> Tasting Pavilion at HK$50 for each additional tasting.<br />
Gr<strong>and</strong> Tasting Pass holders have the exclusive rights to enter <strong>and</strong><br />
select any wine booths in the Gr<strong>and</strong> Tasting Pavilion for wine<br />
tasting. Each tasting is about 40 ml. An array of fine culinary treats,<br />
including Parma ham, Spanish hams <strong>and</strong> cheese, will be served by<br />
Ferrarini Pacific Limited, Ocean Pine Limited / Anba Associates<br />
Limited <strong>and</strong> Jean d’ Alos from Bordeaux.<br />

2) <strong>Wine</strong> Pass<br />
Original Price is HK$200 (special price of HK$170 for American Express<br />
cardmembers), which includes:<br />
� 12 wine tokens for wine tasting, a gift token to redeem a piece of<br />
Lucullus chocolate, a gift token for i-Scream gelato, a gift token for<br />
Fuentes de Lebanza mineral water, a token for BlackBerry gift <strong>and</strong> a<br />
discount token for purchase of Stölzle products. A Stölzle wine glass<br />
<strong>and</strong> a souvenir will be provided*.<br />
<strong>Wine</strong> Pass holders are entitled to select wine from any wine booths<br />
(except those in the Gr<strong>and</strong> Tasting Pavilion) for wine tasting. One to<br />
two wine tokens are required for one tasting of about 40ml.<br />

3) <strong>Wine</strong> Token<br />
Each token costs HK$10 <strong>and</strong> includes a “<strong>Wine</strong> Token” <strong>and</strong> a plastic cup.<br />
<strong>Wine</strong> Token holders are entitled to select any wine booths (except those in<br />
the Gr<strong>and</strong> Tasting Pavilion) for wine tasting. One to two wine tokens are<br />
required for one tasting of about 40 ml.<br />
Special Notes � <strong>Wine</strong>-tasting participants must be aged 18 or above <strong>and</strong> bear the<br />
official stamp for identification.<br />
� The HKTB reserves the right to require buyers of wine passes /<br />
wine tokens to show their documents of identity. Please do not drive<br />
after drinking.<br />
� Bottled wines purchased at the festival should not be consumed or<br />

Live Performances<br />
• An array of world-class live performances will be featured on all four<br />
nights. The main stage will be seized by leading musicians, including<br />
Dutch jazz sensation Laura Fygi, award-winning record producer cum<br />
songwriter <strong>and</strong> acclaimed singer Hanjin Tan, Asia’s premier jazz<br />
musician Eugene Pao, award-winning <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong> Baptist University<br />
Symphony Orchestra, as well as guest celebrities, such as local pop<br />
icons Ivana Wong <strong>and</strong> William So.<br />
• Roving performances will also be available to ensure that fun<br />
permeates the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade.<br />
The br<strong>and</strong> new Gr<strong>and</strong> Tasting Pavilion, occupying over 600 sq. metres to<br />
host 20 wine booths, will provide an exclusive <strong>and</strong> specially arranged area<br />
for wine lovers to enjoy premium wines <strong>and</strong> delicacies.<br />
HKTB Chairman Mr James Tien, HKTB Board Member Mr Peter Lam,<br />
<strong>and</strong> the Cazes family (arranged by Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce <strong>and</strong><br />

A number of wine talks will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 10pm between<br />
29 <strong>and</strong> 31 October. Speakers from the Bordeaux <strong>Wine</strong> Council of France,<br />
the <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong> Management Association, <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong> Sommelier<br />
Association, The Open University of <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong>, <strong>and</strong> Sopexa <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong><br />
will share with wine enthusiasts their professional tips on different aspects<br />
of wine, as well as pairing of wine <strong>and</strong> wine paraphernalia. Elementary<br />
<strong>and</strong> in-depth wine talks are available.<br />
