These instructions are new and have not been tested by independent<br />

installers.<br />

The instructions are not complete, but assist in installation.<br />

<strong>Touratech</strong> and <strong>Touratech</strong>-<strong>USA</strong> assume no responsibility for errors using<br />

these suggestions.<br />

Synopsis<br />

The Pannier set is<br />

attached to the rear<br />

frame using the two<br />

upper BMW pannier<br />

mount holes, and braced<br />

at the passenger footrest.<br />

There is a rear<br />

crossmember.<br />

1) Remove the BMW<br />

pannier supports, if<br />

equipped.<br />

2) Remove the left side<br />

passenger footrest<br />

completely.<br />

3) Remove only one<br />

rearmost M8 bolt from<br />

the right passenger<br />

footrest.<br />

4) Install the racks.<br />

5) Re-install the left<br />

side passenger footrest.<br />

6) Install the small<br />

blinkers (special set<br />

only).<br />

7) Install the panniers<br />

onto the racks.

Note the pannier rack goes between the<br />

passenger footrest and the BMW frame. Three<br />

M8 washers make up for the thickness of the<br />

pannier rack between the footrest and the frame.<br />

Note the pannier rack goes on the inside of the<br />

BMW frame, and is secured with the M8 nyloc<br />

nut.


On the "Special set" which has a welded cutout<br />

to match the BMW exhaust, there is an exhaust<br />

extension.<br />

Inset shows the attachment of the rear crossbrace<br />

on the rear side of the tab.<br />
