These instructions are new and have not been tested by independent
installers.
The instructions are not complete, but assist in installation.
Touratech and Touratech-USA assume no responsibility for errors using
these suggestions.
If you have any doubts about your ability to install the pannier set, please

Synopsis
The Pannier set is
attached to the rear
frame using the two
upper BMW pannier
mount holes, and braced
at the passenger footrest.
There is a rear
crossmember.
1) Remove the BMW
pannier supports, if
equipped.
2) Remove the left side
passenger footrest
completely.
3) Remove only one
rearmost M8 bolt from
the right passenger
footrest.
4) Install the racks.
5) Re-install the left
side passenger footrest.
6) Install the small
blinkers (special set
only).
7) Install the panniers
onto the racks.

Left side (exhaust side) brace at passenger-peg.

Note the pannier rack goes between the
passenger footrest and the BMW frame. Three
M8 washers make up for the thickness of the
pannier rack between the footrest and the frame.
RIGHT side brace at passenger-peg. Photo is
LOOKING UP from below.
Note the pannier rack goes on the inside of the
BMW frame, and is secured with the M8 nyloc
nut.

On the "Special set" which has a welded cutout
to match the BMW exhaust, there is an exhaust
extension.
Inset shows the attachment of the rear crossbrace
on the rear side of the tab.
