Cycling Amenities In addition to bike racks at all municipal facilities and popular public spaces, new bicycle shelters have been installed at the Ajax Town Hall Complex (65 Harwood Ave. S), Ajax Community Centre (75 Centennial Rd.) and the McLean Community Centre (95 Magill Dr.). The new shelters provide protected and secure parking for bicycles. Also many businesses support cycling throughout the Town, see Welcome Cyclists tab for more information.
Bike Route Signs In an effort to reduce the number of signs installed along a roadway, the Town has adopted a unique bike route signage program. The program incorporates bike route signage into street name signs. The blue signs contrast with the traditional green street name signs to visibly and predictably mark the bike route. The yellow diamond share the road signs are a reminder that all users have a right to be on the road. Signalling Always signal your intent by pointing in the direction you wish to travel, or by using the following hand signals: Signs and Cycling Amenities Left Turn: left arm out Right Turn: left arm out, up Stop: left arm out, down, palm back
