Hilti’s
tangible
innovation
Recently one of our developmental
engineers traveled to
Helgoland on an assignment. It is
on this German island that we are
conducting long-term testing on
the ability of nails to resist corrosion
in the harsh maritime climate.
As the engineer boarded the ferry
in Hamburg, comments of wonder
and surprise could be heard: “Look
at that! He’s even taking a Hilti
toolbox on vacation.”
The white logo on the red background,
as found on our toolboxes,
is a symbol for top performance,
innovation and competent services
worldwide. This symbol is an asset,
and one valuable enough that
it can generate returns in the form
of innovation and performance
that surpass the usual. A performance
that generates enthusiasm. To
better reflect this fact, our branding
professionals have placed the
Hilti logo in a new corporate design.
That’s why this customer
magazine appears to you to be both
familiar and new. The same will
soon be true for the Hilti toolbox,
products, packaging and other
printed material, as well as our Internet
appearance. Hilti’s new corporate
design will touch all aspects
of our company.
Today, good design is linked with
ergonomics, particularly where
tools are concerned. This year four
Hilti tools were distinguished with
renowned design awards. Read
more about this on page 27.
Engineers are also designers. An
international team of Hilti specialists
developed a pioneering system
of dowels for a high-speed rail link
in the Netherlands. The system is
noteworthy for the simplicity of its
design and application. You’ll find
the corresponding report on page
12. The developmental team was
also acknowledged within our
company when they were awarded
the Martin Hilti Innovation Prize.
This award is named after the
founder of our company and is
given each year. Unrelenting innovation
is a hallmark of our company.
