configured to provide access to employee information relevant for <strong>HR</strong> Professionals<br />
and also perform relevant personnel actions. <strong>HR</strong> Professionals can also administer<br />
grade step progression, release people information to interested parties and perform<br />
suitability matching.<br />
Configurable to Support your Global Organization<br />
Enterprises can improve efficiency by configuring applications to address the<br />
organization’s needs. <strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>Self</strong>-<strong>Service</strong> <strong>HR</strong> is a highly extensible and configurable<br />
application enabling you to configure content, labels, links, and logos, to match your<br />
corporate identity. You can include corporate knowledge repositories, <strong>HR</strong> policies,<br />
or external links such as benefits providers. You can configure <strong>HR</strong> business<br />
processes for different user groups (for example, hide or show different regions of<br />
the application, or fields of a transaction). You can omit process steps in an <strong>HR</strong><br />
transaction that may not be relevant for your business, or choose to display your<br />
own configured fields to capture information that is unique to your organization.<br />
Special Information Types and Extra Information Types in <strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>Self</strong>-<strong>Service</strong> <strong>HR</strong><br />
provide the flexibility to set up unlimited amounts of extra information on people,<br />
assignment, location, job, position and organization. Special Information Types can<br />
be used to store additional information about jobs, positions, skills and people that<br />
are otherwise not captured by the system. The information can be captured as a<br />
standalone process, integrated with self-service action flow or personal information<br />
flow.<br />

A global enterprise must be sure that all human resource transactions comply with<br />
the requirements of each local area. <strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>Self</strong>-<strong>Service</strong> <strong>HR</strong> ensures that local<br />
legislative information is incorporated into personnel transactions such as transfers<br />
or terminations. Also, <strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>Self</strong>-<strong>Service</strong> <strong>HR</strong> supports local formats such as<br />
address, bank information, dates, and numbers.<br />
