enterprise, enabling internal and external users to easily participate in a common, flexible<br />

environment. Users can choose to create conferences as often as desired from large, scheduled<br />

web seminars to ad-hoc conferences to support a variety of meetings to solve problems,<br />

generate new ideas or facilitate conversations. Regardless of the client desktop, presenters and<br />

participants can collaborate on a variety of operating systems such as for Mac OS X, Linux,<br />

and Windows.<br />

The presenter has a variety of options to interact with the participants while running their<br />

conferring console. This includes options to share the entire desktop or specific applications,<br />

record conferences for future playback, view thumbnail preview, and communicate with the<br />

participants through the integrated voice chat and text chat services.

Meanwhile participants also have an easy to use conference console. Participants can manage<br />

their viewing window to fit their needs from resizing the window to any size, maximizing the<br />

presentation to fit their full screen, or zooming into or out of any part of the presentation. The<br />

conference participants can chat publicly, request speaker rights, and request presentation<br />

rights or to share control of the presenter’s desktop<br />

Voice-over-IP solution, the voice chat service can scale into the hundreds of participants and<br />

have dozens of simultaneous speakers.<br />

<strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>WebCenter</strong> <strong>Real</strong>-<strong>Time</strong> <strong>Collaboration</strong> provides instant messaging and presence for<br />

users to quickly communicate through a variety of standard based IM clients, mobile devices,<br />

and portals. Instant messaging enables users to connect and message either single users or<br />

groups of users through group chat or chat rooms. Users using <strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>WebCenter</strong> <strong>Real</strong>-<strong>Time</strong><br />

<strong>Collaboration</strong> can also set and view presence throughout the enterprise. Built on the open<br />

XMPP protocol, <strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>WebCenter</strong> <strong>Real</strong>-<strong>Time</strong> <strong>Collaboration</strong> allows users to choose whatever<br />

instant messaging client is best for their environment and their needs.<br />

<strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>WebCenter</strong> <strong>Real</strong>-<strong>Time</strong> <strong>Collaboration</strong> also provides a Mobile Communicator for users<br />

to stay connected to their colleagues through their mobile device. Supported on the Apple<br />

iPhone, the RIM Blackberry, and devices supporting Windows Mobile 6, the Mobile<br />

connector allows users communicate with colleagues through instant messages and syncs your<br />

presence similar to a standard IM desktop client.<br />

portlets, users can access conferencing, instant messaging and presence through a variety of<br />

choices. Portal support includes <strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>WebCenter</strong>, <strong>Oracle</strong> Portal, <strong>Oracle</strong> WebLogic Portal,<br />

IBM WebSphere, and <strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>WebCenter</strong> Interaction.<br />

This allows them flexibility to choose a desire client for their work environment or for IT to<br />

determine the best client to fit their organization.<br />

<strong>Oracle</strong> <strong>WebCenter</strong> <strong>Real</strong>-<strong>Time</strong> <strong>Collaboration</strong> features can also be integrated into any<br />

application or custom solution through REST and SOAP APIs. These APIs include the ability<br />

to programmatically display or set presence status, schedule a conference or initiate an Instant<br />

Messaging session.<br />
