Happiest Holidays
Once again, Toronto Pearson found some fun and unique ways to keep our guests
entertained during the busy holiday travel season. If you were here, we hope you had fun!
Top row: GTAA Employee Ambassadors ready to spread some cheer. Bottom row, from left: Santa made a detour from the North Pole to visit
some of our little guests; Complimentary gift wrapping was available in the terminals; Mrs. Claus also came to visit and read stories to our
smallest guests.
This holiday travel season,
Toronto Pearson saw more than one
million guests pass through our doors.
And once again, we did our best to
make their stay an entertaining and
enjoyable one.
During the two weeks leading up
to Christmas, we brought back the
Tweet-A-Carol program. Launched
during last year’s Christmas rush,
the program proved to be a smash
hit once again this year. Anyone with
friends or family travelling through
the airport could tweet us their name
and flight details and our carollers
would do their best to track them
down through the terminals and
greet them with a holiday song. The
response was once again extremely
positive and helped kick off a lot of
holiday journeys on the right note.
Also back for another year were
Santa who roamed the terminals
spreading Christmas candy and cheer,
and Mrs. Claus, who read Christmas
stories to our littlest guests.
Our holiday colouring walls were
also a huge attraction, allowing kids
of all ages to get creative and leave
their mark before boarding their
flights.
This year, we also had an Inuit
art exhibition that featured drawings
and sculptures from Canada’s north.
Here, guests could make their own
greeting cards.
We also brought back the
Ambassador program, where airport
employees greeted guests travelling
on the busiest holiday travel days,
December 23 and 24, offering help,
guidance or just a treat to get them
through the rush.
Once again, thanks to everyone
for making the holiday travel season
at Toronto Pearson another success.
If you were travelling through the
airport this year, we hope that we
were able to start or end your journey
with a smile.
