The Royal Australian Mint is proud to continue the
commemoration of the Bicentenary of European
settlement in Tasmania with this very special release.
Vladimir Gottwald’s design featuring a commanding
image of the Lady Nelson combined with a map of the
State and meticulously rendered Leatherwood blooms
was first struck on a stunning silver proof coin which
sold out from the Mint in a matter of weeks. We are
pleased to once again present the design with this
special edition uncirculated bronze coin, this time with a
carefully placed mintmark.
For the first time we present the ‘H’ for Hobart mintmark
on a $5 denomination. A truly exclusive piece that is a
‘must’ for any collection.
