with such a hotshot like Cecilia, I was motivated to continue on.
My options were either to keep up or fall behind, and I was
determined to move on with her. Because of the successful efforts
of Cecilia and other Managers in my Central Region, we promoted
to Nation two years later. I could not believe that five
years after I signed up with Arbonne with the basic intention of
getting my products at a discount, I would reach the pinnacle of
Arbonne achievement. I thank God every day for allowing me
to see that there was potential in network marketing and that it
would be the vehicle that would help my family gain financial
freedom. I will never stop counting my blessings no matter what
life throws in my path.
When I promoted to NVP, one of life’s curveballs was waiting to
greet me. What should have been a time of celebration and joy
was tempered by the discovery that I had been diagnosed with multiple
sclerosis. I was fortunate that my particular symptoms were
confined to just a loss of energy. As I started being more aware of
the symptoms, I became grateful that Arbonne was in my life. This
was the perfect business to work around the fatigue resulting from
my disease. Life was still good. A consequence of my illness was
that I realized more than ever how blessed I was to have so much
going for me. I could never take anything for granted again even if
I tried. After one year of being an NVP, I promoted my first NVP:
Cecilia Stoll, of course. I was definitely more confident this time
that my central Nation would continue to flourish as I had capable
Managers working toward further success. Business and life
continued on without a hitch.
Little did I know that in the summer of the following year I would
again be faced with another one of life’s challenges. This time, I
was diagnosed with breast cancer and I was in total shock. After
all, this was a life-threatening illness, not an autoimmune disease
that you could live with. I was very fortunate that they caught the
breast cancer early enough that, following a lumpectomy, I was
only treated with radiation. I say “only” radiation as if it were no
big deal. When in reality, for me it was a huge deal because
through radiation comes fatigue. More fatigue was something
that I really did not need. In spite of it all, I was still very thankful
that Arbonne was a part of the equation since it did allow me to
work from bed when needed. With the exception of my detour
through adverse health issues, I have forged ahead on my
Arbonne journey with a team that stuck with me through the
rough patches as well as the smooth sailing. Since the setbacks
continued ...
