NEW ZEALAND 2008
TEAM NEW ZEALAND
Maria English (Captain)
Maria English is 17 years old and hails from the sprawling metropolis of
Dipton, New Zealand. She currently attends Samuel Marsden Collegiate
School and her favourite things are netball, singing, volleyball, Cat Stevens,
wind turbines and ice-cream. And debating. Her dream job is starring as an
extra on Home and Away.
Holly Jenkins
Holly Jenkins is 17 years old and lives in the Hutt Valley, near Wellington, in
New Zealand. Her hobbies include being generally enthusiastic, and talking to
buskers. She would be an accomplished base jumper if she was not scared of
heights.
Ben Kornfeld
Ben Kornfeld is a 17 year old from Auckland, New Zealand. He is of dubious
origin and feels slightly out of place amongst debaters because he is the only
who hates english classes, and takes science. Ben wishes he could convince
debaters to play more paintball and also enjoys watching rugby because he'd
be terrible at playing it.
