after picking up offensive coordinator Bob DeBesse’s pistol scheme<br />
in the spring...enters training camp as the clear No. 1 at QB after<br />
having one of the best spring practice sessions on the squad...has<br />
a 57.3 career completion percentage, to rank third all-time in Lobo<br />
history...a team captain in 2011...earned the school’s 1st Team<br />
Award for Unselfish Devotion to the Team as well as the Reese<br />
Hill Most Valuable Offensive Player in 2011...came off the bench<br />
through the first four games but seized the starting job in week<br />
five and kept it for the rest of the season...makes good decisions<br />
with the football...has deceptive running ability and knows when to<br />
scramble for yardage...one of the hardest workers in practice and<br />
in game video study...was the opening day starting quarterback in<br />
2010 but suffered several injuries throughout the year...was one of<br />
the team’s most improved players on offense in 2009, establishing<br />
himself as the top back-up to four-year starter Donovan Porterie...<br />

<strong>Lobos</strong>’ win over Southern ... completed 6 of 8 passes for 57 yards<br />

Fast, shifty running back and kick returner who showed incredible<br />
promise after making his collegiate debut in in the <strong>Lobos</strong>’ seventh<br />
game in 2009 as a true freshman...not very big, but runs extremely<br />
hard, is an excellent receiver out of the backfield, and a perfect fit<br />
for the team’s spread offense and has a chance to be one of the<br />
primary ball-carriers in the fall...redshirted in 2011 after an injury<br />
caused him to miss most of fall camp and the early part of the<br />
season...a dangerous kick returner as well who is a threat anytime<br />
he touches the ball...showed great potential in his first full season<br />
in 2010...enters his junior year as one of the primary backs for the<br />
<strong>Lobos</strong>...unofficially clocked at 4.5 in the 40 during high school when<br />
he was one of the most dominant RBs in the state of Texas...did<br />
a fine job in the classroom, earning Academic All-MWC honors in<br />
his first semester at UNM...very involved off the field while in high<br />
school as a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and as a<br />
volunteer coach for the Pearland Hurricanes youth football team...<br />
after Hurricane Ike hit the area, he removed heavy debris and destroyed<br />
furniture from the homes of the elderly and less fortunate<br />
living in his neighborhood.<br />
2012 Season: Started his first game of the season at Texas Tech<br />
and finished with 12 rushing yards ... made his season debut<br />
against No. 17 Texas on Sept. 8 ... rushed for 51 yards on 11 car-<br />
