During his study break Mr Jarupaiboon
visited different places in Australia.
“Australia is huge. There are so many
beautiful attractions here: scenic
mountains; beaches, native wildlife,” he
said.
A COVETED AWARD
Mr Jarupaiboon is proud of being an
Endeavour Award recipient. He will be
among the few International Relations
scholars in Thailand in possession of an
Australian degree.
“At my home university there are a wide
range of foreign policy courses on offer,
but not one on Australia. Once my degree
is complete I will be very knowledgeable
about Australia, which will serve as a basis
for an understanding of all the dimensions
of the country.”
INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION
As a result of being an Endeavour Award
Holder he hopes to be able to maintain the
already good relations and academic
linkages between Australia and Thailand.
Mr Jarupaiboon said being a university
lecturer, “has added a purpose to my life,
leading me to live a meaningful life, and
ultimately enabling me to address the
social ills that I am surrounded by in
Thailand,” he said.
“I will, as a university lecturer, be able to
spark academic interest in Australian
studies or set up an Australian studies
centre where I teach.”
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT
During the term of the Endeavour Award,
recipients receive ongoing support from a
dedicated case manager. This includes
pre-departure briefings, advice and
assistance with visas, health, travel,
insurance, accommodation and a 24 hour
emergency contact.

The Endeavour Awards are the Australian
Government’s internationally competitive,
merit-based scholarship program providing
opportunities for high achieving individuals
to increase their skills and enhance their
global awareness by undertaking study,
research and professional development in

announced by the Government in

international students studying by
coursework or research in any field of

Postgraduate Award is provided for two
years to undertake a postgraduate
qualification at Masters level, or up to four
