colour upperside mid purple violet (RHS 78B), underside<br />

light purple violet (RHS 80C), length 34mm, width 8.6mm,<br />

Origin Controlled pollination: ‘Pink Fantasy’ x ‘Zimba’.<br />

Description (Table 25, Figure 33) Plant: small normal tree,<br />

vigour strong. Leaf: size medium, profile convex, base<br />

acute, small angle at the apex, anthocyanin colouration<br />

absent; petiole nectaries present in groups of two or less,<br />

shape round and kidney formed. Flowering shoot: deep red<br />

anthocyanin colouration, bud density medium. Flower:<br />

rosaceous appear late Aug lasting a week; petal five, large,<br />

rounded, pink; calyx orange; stigma same level with anthers<br />

which have pollen. Fruit: size medium, round to oblate,<br />

asymmetrical, tip depressed, suture weak, stalk cavity deep;<br />

skin ground colour yellow, over colour mottled deep<br />

maroon to red-brown, pubescence medium density; flesh<br />

firm, yellow-orange, anthocyanin colouration beneath the<br />

skin absent, in the flesh slightly present, around the stone<br />

definite. Stone: colour medium, size medium, round,<br />

adherence to the flesh weak, split stone absent.<br />

Origin Open pollination: unspecified. Breeders: Arsene<br />

Maillard and Domain de Castang, SA, Bergerac, France.<br />

Selection criteria: differential ripening date to ‘Elegant<br />

Lady, and its more brilliant orange-yellow ground colour.<br />

Propagation: asexual by budding onto peach rootstock<br />

through several generations.<br />

Neil’. Location: Fleming’s Nurseries, Monbulk, VIC Jun<br />

1993 - Feb 1997. Conditions: trees propagated by budding,<br />

planted into orchards with similar cultural practices. Trial<br />
