In actual fact, according to Heinrich
Heggli, the range of applications for
the new top crane in his 15-vehicle
fleet is almost unlimited. "This concept
has been a wish of mine for a
long time," reports the dynamic CEo,
who used to spend a lot of time at the
steering wheel in the past and has an
outstanding knowledge of the recovery
business. "other manufacturers

Petence center (mcc) here In lengau ?
For complex structures such as large cranes, the overall
performance of the complete vehicle is implemented and
optimised in the MCC. In the case of our new top crane model,
the PK 200002 L SH with a dead weight of 23 tonnes, mounting
in the factory simply makes more sense as not every service
partner has the necessary lifting and mounting technology. In
the MCC, we are building up mounting and product development
expertise, which we want to share with our PALFINGER
subsidiaries worldwide.
so no comPetItIon for the dealershIPs?
Definitely not! We do not want to compete with the dealers for
the mounting business. Instead, we want to expand our
expertise-related lead in cooperation with our partners in the
entire PALFINGER world. The MCC is a clear investment in the
future, in which we can market a high-tech, sophisticated
product in emerging nations.

Exactly! our employees in the MCC are continuously developing
and refining our standard solutions, thereby minimising
mounting costs and meeting order peaks flexibly. And for our
customers, collecting the vehicle in the MCC is a highly emotional
experience!
only then will the PK 200002 L SH celebrate its launch
into commercial operation on the testing ground. MCC
expert, Hannes Furthner, has monitored the bright green
crane from the very first hour in the MCC workshop right
up to the final setting. The setting of all functions and the
careful fine-tuning with the carrier vehicle is a job for experienced
crane experts like him. The friendly MCC instructor
is now sharing his expertise with Heggli driver,
Armin Höller. With nine years experience of working at
Heggli he is anything but a novice, but he candidly admits:
"It takes around two months until you're completely
familiar with the new crane, and it takes another year to
become a genuine master!"
Step by step, detail by detail, instructor Hannes Furthner
explains all the special and unique features of the fiveaxle
vehicle to him. Intuitive operation of the radio remote
control makes it easier for him to take the first working
steps with his new working vehicle. Heggli driver, Armin,
now decked out with a high-quality PALFINGER jacket as
a welcome gift, is visibly looking forward to the impressive
new working equipment.
Awaiting him is another entire afternoon of instructions
and tips while Heinrich Heggli discusses detailed solutions
for day-to-day applications with the PALFINGER crane expert.
Incorporation of the Euro-6 construction components
such as exhaust gas filters and the AdBlue tank on the
frame further complicates crane mounting today. It is precisely
this expertise that MCC, as a competence centre for
crane mounting, gathers centrally in order to further develop
it to meet the challenges of the future.
Accordingly, MCC manager, Gernot Pichorner, is not going
to miss the opportunity to get to know the PK 200002 L SH
and customers in detail. Yet the focus here is not exclusively
on valuable feedback from the user. "It is not just our customers
who are proud of their new vehicle. The handover
and the direct feedback from the purchaser is also a wonderful
experience for us," declares the Lengau-based Head
of Production, who has been working for PALFINGER for 19
years. "After all, we are all crane constructors at heart!"
