DIVIDENDS Interim of HK22.0 cents (2009: HK18.0 cents) per share Proposed final of HK26.0 cents (2009: HK22.0 cents) per share 22.0 The proposed final dividend for the year is subject to the approval of the Company’s shareholders at the forthcoming annual general meeting. 12. EARNINGS PER SHARE ATTRIBUTABLE TO ORDINARY EQUITY HOLDERS OF THE COMPANY The basic and diluted earnings per share for the years ended 31 March 2010 and 31 March 2009 have been calculated as follows: (a) Basic earnings per share The calculation of the basic earnings per share is based on the profit for the year attributable to ordinary equity holders of the Company and the weighted average number of ordinary shares in issue during the year. (b) Diluted earnings per share The calculation of the diluted earnings per share amount for the year ended 31 March 2010 is based on the profit for that year attributable to ordinary equity holders of the Company.
