6 Institute of Technology Blanchardstown Annual Report 1999–2002: Volume 2 7 Governance and Management of ITB Establishment Board The Establishment Board was formed on 14th May 1998 to complete strategic planning for the Institute and make arrangements for the commencement of courses in 1999. The members of the Establishment Board were: Mr. Mícheál ó’Néill Chief Executive Establishment Board Department of Education & Science Mr. Dermot Curran Department of Education & Science Mr. Daniel Brennan Registrar, Letterkenny Institute of Technology Mr. Donal Connell Vice President, 3Com Technologies Ms. Jennifer Condon National Software Director, Forbairt Mr. David Lowe Head of Research, Goodbody Stockbrokers Dr. Kathy Monks Associate Dean, Business School, DCU Mr. Eamonn Ryan IDA Ireland Mr. Alex Silke Principal, Coláiste Íde, Finglas Ms. Jacinta Stewart Education Officer, City of Dublin VEC Governing Body The first Governing Body was appointed on the 10th December 1999 for a duration of two years. The second Governing Body was appointed on the 10th December 2001 for a term of five years. The Governing Body meet on a regular basis throughout the year.
