Now what do you want to do? Raise money for charity? Design a solar car? Lead your residence hall softball team to the championship? At K-State you can make the college experience your own. Customize activities to fit your interests. You’ve got plenty of places to get started! Clubs and organizations Choose from more than 475 clubs and organizations. If you can’t find one that fits your interests, you can start your own. Service opportunities HandsOn K-State can hook you up with the American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity and other service organizations. Joining a summer international service team can take you around the globe. Leadership and service organizations Every club, organization, honorary society, sorority and fraternity needs someone who will get things done. Why not you? With the range of options at K-State, students who want to lead and serve their community have no problem finding opportunities. Multicultural organizations Celebrate cultures and treasured traditions when you join one of K-State’s multicultural groups. Arts and culture Catch K-State theatre, dance and music students in live performances, or see photography, sculpture and paintings by K-State students and faculty in galleries throughout campus. Attend a McCain Performance Series event or tour an exhibition at the Beach Museum of Art. Athletics Whether you’re a participant or a spectator, athletics are a big deal at K-State. Get tutoring, academic counseling and find out about University Experience classes through the Academic Assistance Center. Get a personal financial assistance advisor from the Office of Student Financial Assistance. Peer advisors are available, too. Visit Powercat Financial Counseling in the student union. They can help you make a budget or savings plan and manage your debt. Find part-time or full-time jobs and internships with Career and Employment Services. Get cost-effective health care and information from a professionally accredited facility at Lafene Student Health Center. Connect to resources for academic and personal problems through the Office of Student Life. They also help monitor campus safety issues and support students and family members during times of crisis.
