Version 1.0
2. Questions which often arise
2.1 General questions about MyDPD.
Question:
Via what internet address can I log into MyDPD?
Answer:
You always log into MyDPD at www.dpd.be. Access to MyDPD is by entering your access data in
the login box on the right-hand side.
Question:
I can't see MyDPD, even though I have successfully logged in. What do I do now?
Answer:
The pop-up blocker on your browser is probably activated. In order to be able to use MyDPD you
have to permit pop-ups on www.dpd.be at all times.
Question:
I am logged into MyDPD but I can't use any of the functions and can't click on anything. What do I
do now?
Answer:
If you have de-activated JavaScript on your browser, you need to activate JavaScript in the relevant
menu of your browser in order to be able to use all the functions of MyDPD.
(FAQs)
Version 1.0
Internet Explorer: Mozilla Firefox:
Question:
I have successfully logged into MyDPD, but the pages are not shown correctly or the connection
breaks down again. What is the reason for this?
Answer:
Perhaps you use Citrix terminal servers for processing your orders. It is known that there are
problems with recording orders in Citrix terminal server environments. In this case you should
contact your IT department.
MyDPD – frequently asked questions
(FAQs)
Version 1.0
Question:
Why aren't all address book entries displayed during the search for addresses in E-Shipping and
Returns?
Answer:
The search function automatically restricts the results in accordance with the type of address – in
other words, a search in the "Consignee" section of E-Shipping will only show those addresses
which are recorded in the address book as consignee addresses.
2.2 Problems with parcel labels
Question:
I want to print out my parcel label, but nothing is displayed. What do I do now?
Answer:
The pop-up blocker of your browser is probably activated. In order to be able to print out parcel
labels, pop-ups always have to be permitted on mydpd.dpd.be.
Question:
I am not able to access the parcel label or to print it out, even though I have Acrobat Reader
installed on my computer. What do I do now?
Answer:
Please make sure that your version of the Acrobat Reader is up to date (Version 9 and upwards).
You can download the software from this address:
2.3 End-of-day closes
Question:
Where can I implement an end-of-day close on MyDPD?
Answer:
The end-of-day close can be implemented in the main "Order overview" section. There you select
the "End-of-day close" tab and mark those orders for which an end-of-day close is to be created. By
means of the command "Implement end-of-day close" you can generate documents such as
consignor delivery lists and parcel labels. You now have the option of printing these out or of saving
them. However, subsequent print-outs are not possible.
The end-of-day close documents for the last 10 days can later be accessed via the end-of-day close
history.
Question:
Is it possible to print out several parcel labels at the same time?
Answer:
Yes, this is possible. During the day's processing you record all orders without opening the parcel
label PDF in the E-Shipping section. Via the end-of-day close all documents which have not yet
been called off will then be combined in one PDF file (parcel labels, consignee shipping lists and
order confirmations).
2.4 Master data
Question:
Where can I enter additional address master data?
Answer:
Address master data can only be updated by the depot which is responsible for you. If you wish to
use additional pickup addresses or customer addresses within MyDPD, these first have to be
entered in advance by the depot. This also applies to the modification and deletion of existing data
records.
MyDPD – frequently asked questions
(FAQs)
Version 1.0
2.5 Address book
Question:
The structure of the address file seems to have changed? What do I need to take into consideration
here?
Answer:
When the new address book was launched the import format was changed. You will find a
description of the file in Fout! Verwijzingsbron niet gevonden.. In order to copy the format we
recommend that you should create sample addresses, export them from MyDPD and then use
these as a template. The difference between consignor and consignee addresses has to be kept in
mind here.
Question:
I am receiving error messages during the import of my data. What is the reason for this?
Answer:
If you receive the error message: "1: java.lang.NumberFormatException For input string:
'COUNTRYN'", you simply delete the header with the column designation from the import file.
Question:
After the export of the address data I have processed the data and tried to re-import it into the
system. This does not work. What could be the reason for this?
Answer:
The export file should not be processed with a standard editor such as Windows Notepad, for
example, because under certain circumstances this could make the file impossible for MyDPD to
read. We recommend the use of WordPad or other editors which can be installed, such as
Notepad++. It is also possible to use Excel or other spreadsheet programs.
MyDPD – frequently asked questions
(FAQs)
Version 1.0
Question:
The search for addresses does not provide clear results. What could be the reason for this?
Answer:
If a number of company names have been entered in an identical form in the address book, the
search function has no possibility of identifying the specific address. However, using the address
reference function it is possible to provide an entry with a key which makes it identifiable.
2.6 Order overview
Question:
I wish to delete a parcel with the status “shipped”. Is that possible?
Answer:
No, unfortunately that is not possible.
Question:
How long do parcels remain visible in the 'Order overview'?
Answer:
At the moment no automatic archiving function is available here. As a result these parcels continue
to be available in the history.
Question:
I have entered a collection request with a number of parcels, but it is not visible in the 'Order
overview'.
Answer:
If an order with a number of parcels is entered in the "Collection request" portlet, these are saved as
individual orders, which means that there is a corresponding number of entries in the 'Order
overview', with "1" always as the parcel quantity.
MyDPD – frequently asked questions
(FAQs)
Version 1.0
Question:
How can I search my collection requests in the "Order overview" by means of "Info line 1"?
Answer:
A search by means of "Info line 1" is not possible. For your entries under collection requests you
should use the "Ref. No." field. In the "Order overview" you can search for these contents via
"Customer reference".
