The possibility for European and
Russian politicians, academics and

meet and discuss new ideas is an
important aspect to further foster this
cooperation.
Innovative environmental
and energy technologies are
determining factors in raising
energy efficiency as well as the usage
of renewable energy sources.
Hence, I welcome the current
initiatives and the focus of iconvienna.
Decision makers in politics and
economy as well as numerous
experts will meet to discuss these
topics within the framework of this
international forum.
It is clear: a highly - qualified
exchange of views and experience is
irreplaceable.
Das Burgenland hat sich
seit einigen Jahren als
Modellregion in Sachen
erneuerbare Energie entwickelt.
Burgenland hat europaweit eine
Vorbildfunktion, da 60 % des
Landesstrombedarfes bereits aus
erneuerbarer Energie hergestellt wird.
Ich bin sehr erfreut, dass iconvienna
erstmals bei uns zu Gast ist, um
die Erfahrungen und das Knowhow
rund um die Energiepolitik
des Burgenlandes zu präsentieren.
Internationaler Erfahrungsaustausch
zum Thema erneuerbare Energie und
die Vorteile wie etwa Umweltschutz,
Wertschöpfung und bessere
Handelsbilanzen werden den Dialog
beleben.
