ZOOM Ocean A colorful and diverse realm for play and adventure for toddlers and preschoolers With ZOOM Ocean, ZOOM Children’s Museum offers a unique area for play and experience that is especially catered to the motor, cognitive, and social abilities of children from 8 months to 6 years in age. Since 2001, around 290,000 sailors big and small have taken to sea in our steamer Famosa and experienced exciting adventures. They have explored caves, gone on fishing expeditions, set the weather rotator in motion, and sent messages to the lighthouse. Since the expansion of ZOOM Ocean in 2008, there are new things for preschoolage children to discover. The Famosa has now dropped anchor in the ice sea. On shore, the children learn things worth knowing about Greenland. Taking the waves slide, they can wind up in an underwater jungle, where they can take a submarine on an explorative journey. There are special dates where toddlers from 8 months to 3 years of age can explore ZOOM Ocean in an environment that is tailored to meet their special needs. For children ages 4 and up in preschool or kindergarten, ZOOM Ocean offers workshops for early science education. ZOOM Studio Bottle Wonderland Workshops for children ages 3 to 12 ZOOM Studio and the children’s museum courtyard are transformed into a huge wonderland of bottles: out of plastic bottles and all sorts of colorful material the children can erect large buildings and mysterious fairy tale igloos to hide in, magical tress, strange fantasy figures, and wild sparkly dragons. They bend wire legs for the bottle dragonfly, glue bottle caps to the bottle cap dog, wrap the cloud goblin with a skirt made out of string. What kind of bottle wonderland residents can be invented?
