on-carriage of seafreight containers by
rail. Here we offer a special service in
the form of a block train that links the
Austrian Danube port of Enns with the
port of Rotterdam several times per

as a whole in the various business
areas and to increase our market shares.

On 25 May 2006, Kuehne + Nagel Slovakia had two occasions
to celebrate: the 15th anniversary of the national company’s
foundation and the opening of the new logistics centre
in Bratislava with a storage and handling area of 6,000 sqm
and more than 7,500 pallet slots. This facility serves as an
interface between national companies and international markets,
and conforms to the latest environmental and safety
requirements. The celebrations were attended by numerous
customers and business partners, representatives of the
national and local governments and Klaus-Michael Kuehne.
“We are proud that as a result of our early foundation-laying
work and the good development of business we have been
able to continuously expand our range of services and order
volume,” the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of
Kuehne + Nagel International AG said in his opening speech.
