Readers<br />
One of the cornerstones of <strong>Kuehne</strong> + <strong>Nagel</strong>’s success is the company’s strong<br />
presence in all the <strong>world</strong>’s major economic regions – a basic precondition when it<br />
comes to supporting our customers with integrated logistics services within the<br />
framework of their international market strategies, and which at the same time<br />
allows us to benefit from globalisation and the resultant growth in <strong>world</strong> trade.<br />
The coming issues of our <strong>Kuehne</strong> + <strong>Nagel</strong> World Magazine will feature the different<br />
regions, beginning in the present edition with Europe. We have good reason to do so.<br />
By the acquisition of ACR Logistics our company has substantially strengthened its<br />
position in contract logistics on the Old Continent. Furthermore, the new structural<br />
organisation that was introduced on 1 January 2006 creates a platform which allows<br />
us to consistently implement our growth strategy in this important economic region.<br />
