Mounting the <strong>Gates</strong> Carbon Drive Belt<br />

The following steps describe how to mount the belt in a bike with already mounted sprockets.<br />
If your sprockets have not been mounted yet, please follow the instructions for Mounting front<br />
and rear sprockets first. If you have any difficulties with mounting the belt, the video at<br />
www.carbondrivesystems.com will help you.<br />
1. Open the frame break or ‘gate’ on the<br />
frame’s rear triangle. Since this break<br />
may vary from one manufacturer to<br />
another, you’ll need to follow the<br />
instructions of the manufacturer<br />
of your frame. In the following<br />
illustrations the frame is opened at<br />
the dropout.<br />
Insert the belt through the opening<br />
of the frame.<br />
2. Hang the belt over the bottom<br />
bracket and lock the frame gate.<br />
3. Place the belt on the rear sprocket<br />
and mount the rear wheel into the<br />
rear dropouts.<br />
