The building from 1980 has the third largest
planetarium hall, with a diameter of
12.5 metres, and the second biggest projector
in the Czech Republic. Approximately
9,000 stars, planets, comets and other
cosmic objects are projected onto the artificial
sky in the hall for 100 visitors.

JESENÍKY MOUNTAINS
The unique museum is housed in the
timber structure of the Kosárna from
1600. The timbered one-storey house,
which was adapted into the present
form in the 18th century, is closely
bound up with the ironmaking history of
the village. Kosárna in Karlovice, where
scythes were made, was one of the production
plants, further processing iron
from local ironmills. One can see imitation
plastic art (cast iron art), exhibitions
of Karlovice and its natives and also of
agricultural machinery, logging machinery
and forestry equipment.
