of meeting Notice is hereby given that the fortieth annual general meeting of the members of EMI Limited will be held at The Dorchester, Park Lane, London, W1 at 12 o'clock noon on Friday, 10 December 1971for the following purposes: Resolution on fonn of proxy 1 To receive and consider the statement ofaccounts for the year to 30 June 19?1 and the reports ofthe directors and auditors thereon and to declare a dividetd. Resolution No 1 2 To elect directors. Resolutions No 2 to6 3 To authodse the directors to fix the remuneration of the auditors. Resolution No 7 Only the holders of Ordinary Shares are entitled to attend and vote at the meeting. A member of the Company entitled to attend and vote at the above meeting may appoint one or more proxies to attend and, on a poll, to vote in his stead. A proxy need not also be a member. The instrument appointing a proxy and the power ofattorney or other authority (if any) under which it is signed must be deposited at the office of the Registrars of the Company, Barclays Bank Trust Company Limited, PO Box 123, 2 London Wall Buildings, London Wall, London, EC2, not less than 48 hours before the time for holding the meeting. A statement concerning the directors' interests in the equity share capital of the Company and its subsidiaries, and a statement concerning directors' service contracts will be available for inspection at the registered ofrce of the Company from the date of this notice until the date ofthe meeting and at the meeting from 15 minutes prior to the meeting.
