WELCOME<br />

UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY!<br />

This summer relax and nurture your mind<br />

and spirit by taking an art class! With three<br />

summer terms, only four or five weeks each,<br />

you can experience a sampling <strong>of</strong> different<br />

classes. I hope, as you explore this catalog,<br />

you will find the perfect class to ignite your<br />

urge to create.<br />

If you are looking to jumpstart your creativity,<br />

enroll in the “Off the Wall Sculpture, Painting,<br />

Mixed Media and Mini-Instillation Workshop.”<br />

The workshop is taught by well-known artist<br />

and instructor, Miles Laventhall.<br />

For teens 12-18, we have an extensive variety<br />

<strong>of</strong> inspiring workshops and creative classes<br />

to choose from. Kids ages 5-12 can sign up<br />

for 1 or more weeks <strong>of</strong> the School’s 10 week<br />

<strong>Summer</strong> <strong>Art</strong> Camp and further develop their<br />

artistic and social interaction skills.<br />

We are also very happy to announce the<br />

addition <strong>of</strong> a Teen Special Needs Class:<br />

“Creative Expression for Teens with Mild to<br />

Moderate Autism” for ages 14 through 17.<br />

objects and materials that are<br />

A new arts program, developed in<br />

collaboration with FAU Center for<br />

Autism and Related Disabilities.<br />

Specifically designed for teens<br />

between the ages <strong>of</strong> 14 and 17<br />

with mild to moderate autism.<br />

A variety <strong>of</strong> mediums such as<br />

drawing, painting, mixed media<br />

and sculpture will be used to<br />

enhance the creative process <strong>of</strong><br />

each student.<br />

This class is a unique opportunity<br />

for individuals with autism<br />

interested in the Visual <strong>Art</strong>s<br />

to learn and experiment with<br />

various media in a relaxed<br />

environment.<br />

areas <strong>of</strong> the brain.<br />

• Increase student’s creative<br />
