Learn the basic tools of working with Illustrator<br />

as a drawing tool. Import and scan photos or<br />

magazine images, then use these different images<br />

to compose a new drawing. Learn to tweak, add,<br />

and subtract images into your composition in any<br />

size. If you like to draw but do not have a lot of<br />

training or drawing skills this is the class for you!<br />

You will use the scanned images as guides and<br />

the Illustrator tools to compose and be amazed at<br />

what you can draw digitally! Prerequisite: Basic<br />

ink, brush, pen and charcoal. Lots of demonstrations<br />

and drawings, one-on-one instruction<br />

Learn to draw the figure by studying proportions,<br />

anatomical structure, gesture, movement,<br />

balance, rhythm and more. Use charcoal and<br />

graphite. Advanced students are welcome to incorporate<br />

color. Prior drawing experience helpful<br />

but not necessary. Ideal class for those putting<br />

together a portfolio, art and/or animation<br />

school applications, or anyone wanting structured<br />

instructions on drawing the human form.<br />
