2.1 The w<strong>in</strong>d synoptic stations<br />
These 53 w<strong>in</strong>d synoptic stations, record w<strong>in</strong>d data every 10 m<strong>in</strong>utes.<br />
The data is collected <strong>in</strong> 10, 20 and 40 meters height for w<strong>in</strong>d speed<br />
and 20 meters height for w<strong>in</strong>d direction. Data are analyzed by <strong>the</strong><br />
statistical methods us<strong>in</strong>g Spss, Excel and Smada s<strong>of</strong>twares.<br />
In order to do <strong>the</strong> evaluation <strong>of</strong> w<strong>in</strong>d potential, 10 synoptic stations<br />
have been <strong>in</strong>stalled <strong>in</strong> this region. The geographical situation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se<br />
stations is illustrated <strong>in</strong> Fig. 7.
