Early Years Unit 12.45 to 3.15pm
Children should arrive no earlier than 8.45am. The playgrounds are supervised from
8.50am. Please ensure that your child gets to school on time as lateness disrupts lessons.
All children should enter school at the appropriate rear door in the morning. At the end
of the day, Key Stage 2 children leave through the front door.
All Key Stage 1 children will be collected from the playground at the rear of the school
and will be returned there at 3.15pm by their teacher.
The time spent on teaching during a normal week is 21 hours and 25 minutes for Key
Stage 1 pupils and 23 hours and 30 minutes for Key Stage 2 pupils.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
As a result of a parent survey, parents overwhelmingly voted in favour of the
introduction of school uniform. It is therefore expected that all children will wear a
school uniform consisting of grey or black, skirt or trousers worn with a white blouse,
shirt or polo shirt and with a royal blue sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan. Sweatshirts and
cardigans are on sale in the school office. Girls may wear blue and white striped or
checked school dresses in the summer term. The governors and staff encourage a sense
of identity within the school. We also ask that children come to school in sensible shoes.
ALL CLOTHING, ESPECIALLY COATS AND SWEATSHIRTS SHOULD BE
CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME.
Lost property is kept in a box in the entrance hall. It is disposed of at the end of each
term.
