<strong>Interagency</strong> News: Discussion to possibly move the <strong>Interagency</strong> <strong>Council</strong><br />
<strong>Meeting</strong>s. Possible new locations:<br />

Wesley Methodist Church (Initially proposed today)<br />
Wesley Methodist Church was contacted today after our meeting on the<br />
possible move to their location:<br />
The <strong>Interagency</strong> <strong>Council</strong> could meet there in their Lodge Parlor (lounge).<br />
This room is permanently set up with tables and chairs. Parking would be<br />
in the upper level (east side) of the church. There would be no charge<br />
for the room. If they did have something scheduled for the lounge, the
<strong>Interagency</strong> meeting would be moved to the Atrium area which can<br />
accommodate a meeting such as this.<br />
Reverend Russell Smith was contacted about this possible move at 833-2153.<br />
The decision was made to stay at the Health Department while exploring<br />
other facilities. Lynnette also stated that if the council wanted to try another<br />
place and was not satisfied, the council can always come back to the Health<br />
Department. Thank you Lynnette for your flexibility and support of the<br />
<strong>Interagency</strong> <strong>Council</strong>.<br />

The Center for Economic Progress has been providing free tax preparation services for<br />

Transportation Committee Update:<br />
Looking for a representative from <strong>Interagency</strong> <strong>Council</strong> to serve on the <strong>McDonough</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> Transportation Committee. Committee meetings the 2 nd Friday of the month at<br />
9:00 a.m. at Macomb City Hall.<br />
The <strong>Interagency</strong> <strong>Council</strong> accepted Debbie Vandemark’s offer to be on the committee.<br />
She will need to run it past the Volunteer NOW Board and get back to the <strong>Interagency</strong><br />
<strong>Council</strong> on accepting the position on the committee.<br />

- Medicaid, no insurance and private insurance<br />
- major gap in oral services here in <strong>McDonough</strong> <strong>County</strong><br />
- Signed contract with a dentist (young graduate from the University of Iowa)<br />
- Grant funds were received to expand services to <strong>McDonough</strong> <strong>County</strong><br />
- This May will be the opening<br />
- Negotiations are underway for space<br />
- Full-time Hygienist, two assistance and billing staff<br />
- April 28 th Scavenger Hunt fund raiser for Dental Clinic<br />
- 4000 residents in <strong>McDonough</strong> <strong>County</strong> on Medicaid who can not receive dental<br />
