Targeting low incomes families who qualify for Earned Income Tax Credit<br />
Make sure to bring the following documents with you to the tax site:<br />
- All W-2’s and 1099s (if any)<br />
- Social Security Cards or Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITIN) for<br />
all family members<br />
- Copy of 2005 tax return, if available<br />
- Bank Account Number and Routing Number, if choosing to direct deposit your<br />
refund<br />
- Valid Photo ID<br />

The Center for Economic Progress has been providing free tax preparation services for<br />
low-income individuals and families since 1994, and has returned over $196 million in<br />
federal and state refunds to Chicago and other Illinois communities.<br />

Transportation Committee Update:<br />
Looking for a representative from <strong>Interagency</strong> <strong>Council</strong> to serve on the <strong>McDonough</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> Transportation Committee. Committee meetings the 2 nd Friday of the month at<br />
9:00 a.m. at Macomb City Hall.<br />
The <strong>Interagency</strong> <strong>Council</strong> accepted Debbie Vandemark’s offer to be on the committee.<br />
She will need to run it past the Volunteer NOW Board and get back to the <strong>Interagency</strong><br />
<strong>Council</strong> on accepting the position on the committee.<br />
Agency Sharing:<br />
Volunteer NOW – is more interactive and growing.<br />
- Provide training for agencies in volunteer management techniques<br />

Kiddie Karnival <strong>Meeting</strong> after Candidate <strong>Meeting</strong><br />
Kiddie Karnival will be March 31 st at the YMCA from 10-1p.m.
