The Dorman Museum’s collection contains<br />
everything from the fantastic to the fabulous,<br />
covering every subject from natural history<br />

ages and abilities, the museum has recently<br />
undergone redevelopments that have created<br />

Based in a commercial shop/gallery space with<br />
workshop facilities, Gallery TS1 targets hardto-reach<br />

mima<br />
Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (mima) is<br />
a £14.2m landmark gallery which showcases an<br />
internationally significant programme of fine art<br />
and applied art from the 1900 to the present day.<br />
Exhibitions change on a quarterly basis and include<br />
the annual Collection Show, which concentrates<br />
on Middlesbrough’s outstanding collection of<br />
fine art, ceramics and contemporary jewellery.<br />

NATURE’S WORLD<br />
North East England’s most pioneering ecoexperience,<br />
Nature’s World features organic<br />
demonstrations and ornamental gardens, wildlife<br />
areas and ponds, a tearoom restaurant with terrace,<br />
a gift shop, a farm shop, and a unique working River<br />
Tees model. Dig for Victory is a wartime garden<br />
complete with bombed-out house and the futuristic<br />
Hydroponicum and Eco Centre are now open.<br />

NEWHAM GRANGE LEISURE FARM<br />
A working farm recognised by the Rare Breeds<br />
Survival Trust as an approved Conservation<br />
Centre, Newham Grange houses rare cattle,<br />
sheep and pig breeds, as well as other<br />
animals such as ponies, goats, poultry and<br />
waterfowl. The farm gives children the chance<br />
get close up and even touch the animals.<br />
