Minutes of 11 February 2009 Meeting<br />
Call to order: The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by Vice President Steve Ford.<br />
There were a total of 9 in attendance.<br />
S.Ford paraphrased the Anti-Trust Statement.<br />
The Minutes were attached to the meeting announcement <strong>and</strong> copies made available at<br />
the meeting. Derek Miller made the motion to except the Minutes, seconded by David<br />
Guagliardo <strong>and</strong> unanimously carried.<br />
Copies of the Treasures Report were distributed <strong>and</strong> reviewed. Del Hayner made the<br />
motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Greg Rieth <strong>and</strong> unanimously<br />
carried.<br />
Old Business:<br />
Tri-Chapter Meeting – S.Ford reported that arrangements have been made with St.<br />
Andrews (same venue as last year) for the 4 March 2009 meeting. Remember to<br />
continue saving those tin tabs for the yearly competition in support of the Ronald<br />
McDonald House <strong>and</strong> bring them to the Tri-Chapter Meeting.<br />
Conference – S.Ford reported that Ms. Evers was not able to review the<br />
accommodations in Punta Gorda for 2011 Education Conference this past month.<br />
Canoe trip – scheduled for 25 April 2009. This year will be purely a social event. Place<br />
opens at &;30 <strong>and</strong> we want to be on the first bus so there is plenty of time for the free<br />
bar-b-q picnic to follow. Cost is $40 per canoe (comfy seats $5 extra, each).<br />
Chapter Website – D.Miller reported that website is looking good. D.Hayner said he is<br />
looking for material to post (announcements, articles, etc.) to keep it fresh. Discussion<br />
of such followed, considering posting County Benchmark information (see new<br />
business).<br />
Director’s Report:<br />
None this month<br />
New Business:<br />
S.Ford (newly appointed Charlotte County Survey) reported that he is working on a data<br />
base of county benchmarks in excel format; looking to incorporate with NGS<br />
benchmarks <strong>and</strong> new bench loops as part of counties requirement to provide such to<br />
keep FEMA Insurance rating.<br />

S.Ford reported that Surveyor’s Week will be honored 15-21 March 2009 he is looking<br />
to have Charlotte County <strong>and</strong> City of Punta Government recognize such again this year.<br />
D.Miller made the motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by D. Guagliardo <strong>and</strong><br />
unanimously carried.<br />
