SUMMARY The Kitsap County Haft District KCHD was awarded a Department <strong>of</strong> Ecology Ecology<br />
Stonmwater Implementation Grant to fund the Kitsap Regional Illicit Discharge Detection <strong>and</strong> Elimination<br />
IDDE Clean Run<strong>of</strong>f Project to coordinate stormwater pollution prevention activities for several Kitsap<br />
County jurisdictions mcludmg <strong>Bremerton</strong> We have been working on this grant since early 2009 One <strong>of</strong> the<br />
scope items was for the <strong>City</strong> to inspect <strong>and</strong> assist businesses with proper stormwater best management practices<br />
which was completed in 2010 There is also a scope item to provide followup visits with locations with<br />
deficiencies Because <strong>of</strong> a lack <strong>of</strong>personnel at the <strong>City</strong> to perform the followup visits the health district has<br />
agreed to conduct the followup visits for all the jurisdictions working under tins grant Thus ILA Amendment<br />
I is to allocate the funding to do this work to the health district<br />
