MXR Talent Show
The second annual talent show was recently held at
MXR for the 5 th grade class. First place winner-Kayla
Hart (center in the top row) was among seventeen
participates. Entries sang, danced, played musical
instruments and recited speeches.
ACE Program
The fifth grade ACE students formed mini-societies in
which they learned about the history of money,
developed their own currency (Ace Bucks), worked at
jobs within the school to earn money, and formed
their own business. They then sold their goods or
services to second grade students who earned the
"Ace Bucks" for good behavior and good grades.
Youth Art Month
Outstanding works of art by two students from MXR
were featured in March at the Art Museum in Huntsville. Connor Sheffield, a 3 rd grader, had his painting
displayed along with Bayleigh Sylvas, a 4 th grader. Bayleigh’s artwork was a mixed media.
Congratulations to both of these artists. Natalie Balentine is the art teacher who works diligently to teach
art to all of our students.
