Day 1 Canada departure • Depart from Vancouver airport on your<br />

flights to Singapore. (Other departure cities available)<br />

Day 2 Singapore • Arrive in Singapore and transfer to your hotel.<br />

Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation: Furama City Centre<br />

Hotel for 2 nights.<br />

Day 3 Singapore • Today, a city tour will include the Botanical<br />

Garden known for its magnificent display of orchids, a drive by City<br />

Hall, St. Andrew’s Cathedral, and Mt. Faber. Afternoon at leisure. (B)<br />

Day 4 Singapore • Malacca • Your tour from Singapore starts with<br />

a relaxing train ride (may be replaced by coach during holidays)<br />

across the causeway and into the city of Johor Baru. Admire the<br />

rural countryside, oil palm, rubber and small vegetable and fruit<br />

plantations. Disembark at Kluang, a town in the state of Johor, and<br />

continue to Malacca by coach. Arrive in time for lunch followed by<br />

a historical city tour on foot visiting the various heritage sites such<br />

as St’s Paul Hill, Porta De Santiago, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple and<br />

Jonkers Street, also known as antique street. Accommodations:<br />

Day 5 Malacca • Kuala Lumpur • Depart for Kuala Lumpur - the<br />

capital city of Malaysia. Upon arrival, a city tour will include the<br />

sights of the National Palace, the National Museum, the National<br />

Monument, the National Mosque, Sultan Abdul Samad Building, the<br />

Royal Selangor Club and a drive by the Petronas Towers.<br />

Accommodation: Istana Hotel for 2 nights. (B/L)<br />

Day 6 Kuala Lumpur • This morning visit the Batu Caves in the<br />

suburbs of Kuala, reached by a straight flight of 272 steps. Also<br />

visit Malaysian handicraft centers where batiks and pewter wares<br />

are made. The afternoon is at leisure to do some shopping or enjoy<br />

sights of Kuala Lumpur. (B/L)<br />

Day 7 Kuala Lumpur • Cameron Highlands • This morning, depart<br />

to the Cameron Highlands (the centre of Malaysia’s tea production).<br />

Witness the “Orang Asli” (Malaysian Aboriginals) complete with<br />

their blowpipes. After lunch, check in to your hotel.<br />

Day 8 Cameron Highlands • Penang • Your day begins with a<br />

pleasant drive downhill to Ipoh, the city of millionaires’, which made<br />

its fortune from the rich tin mines of the Kinta Valley. En route visit<br />

Kellies Castle built by a Scottish rubber tycoon, and the famous<br />

Cave Temples in Ipoh. Travel North to Kuala Kangsar with its unique<br />

Ubudiah Mosque, a magnificent building with a golden dome, and<br />

the Palace of the Sultan of Perak. Cross the Penang Bridge (the<br />

longest in Asia) into the island of Penang and check into your hotel.<br />

Day 9 Penang • Today you explore Penang, the “Pearl of the Orient”.<br />

Visit the famous Snake Temple. If you wish, have your photo taken<br />

with a venomous Pit viper draped over you! Continue to explore<br />

the various attractions in Georgetown including the Khoo Kongsi<br />

“Dragon Mountain Hall” clan house with its ancient design built to<br />

resemble an Imperial Palace. More sites include Fort Cornwallis<br />

and the Temple of Wat Chayamangkalaram, which houses a<br />

33-metre reclining Buddha. (B/L)<br />

Day 10 Penang • Canada • Transfer to the airport for your flights<br />
