Departing from Manaus, Brazil this four night compact
Amazon cruise visits some of the most essential areas to
observe the wildlife and culture of the Amazon rainforest.
The journey concentrates on the Amazon River where
we explore tributaries with high forest and also flooded
grasslands that stretch from horizon to horizon. On the
expedition vessel, the Motor Yacht Tucano, small groups
with very experienced naturalist guides, experience many
different rainforest environments teeming with life.

Day 1 Puerto Maldonado • Transfer to the wharf and
begin rainforest experience on a boat for 45 minutes
along the Madre de Dios River. Arrival to the lodge
and brief break. Guided walk along the Trail system
in a natural area. First night, excursion to Twilight
River - Cocktails and dinner. Retire early or join to
talk about your first day experience in the rainforest.
Overnight at the Lodge. (L/D)
Day 2 Puerto Maldonado • Breakfast begins at 5:30
a.m. to avoid the heat and enjoy the nature. Visit the
Sandoval Lake and excursion into the Tambopata
National Reserve. Return to the lodge for lunch.
Then, you will take the Canopy Walk. You may extend
your excursion to appreciate the sunset from one
of the towers. Back to lodge. Cocktails in the main
dining room or during the daily nature presentation
in the Eco-Media Center. Dinner and overnight at the
Lodge. (B/L/D)
Day 3 Puerto Maldonado • Enjoy a full breakfast
before departure. Return by boat from Madre de
Dios River to Puerto Maldonado. Visit to the Butterfly
Farm near the Airport. (B)

Day 1 Lima • Ica • Overflight Nazca • Departure
from Lima to Ica by regular bus (3 ½ hrs). On arrival
to Ica, reception and overflight of the Nazca Lines.
Transfer to hotel. Overnight.
Day 2 Ica • Lima • Transfer to Paracas and excursion
to Ballestas Islands by boat (Regular), where sea
lions, Humboldt penguins, flamingoes or pariguanas
and seabirds can be closely observed. Following the
coastline, you will be able to observe a Candelabra
(or Cactus) engraved in a hill, also known as “Tres
Cruces” (Three Crosses), and is located northwest
of the Bay of Paracas, between Martín and Talpo
beaches. Return to Lima by regular bus.
