17.6 <strong>Profinet</strong> address-assignment<br />
During normal operation (data exchange mode - see chapter 4) the IP-address is assigned to the<br />
gateway by the <strong>Profinet</strong>-IO-controller (PLC). For it the gateway has a device name (UNIGATE -<br />
PN) that is used to communicate with the gateway.<br />
17.7 <strong>Profinet</strong> connection<br />
Connect the device to the <strong>Profinet</strong> at the interface labelled "RJ45 <strong>Profinet</strong>-IO".<br />
17.8 Connection to the process device<br />
Please also read the manual for the process device when commissioning the process device.<br />
17.9 Shield connection<br />
Earth the top-hat rail onto which the module has been snapped.<br />
17.10 Connecting the supply voltage<br />
Please connect 10..33 DC voltage to the terminals provided for this.<br />
17.11 Project planning<br />
Use any project planning tool for project planning.<br />
If the required GSD file was not supplied with your project planning tool, a sample file can be<br />
found on the Internet (www.deutschmann.de).<br />

We recommend the <strong>book</strong> "Der Schnelleinstieg in PROFINET", author M. Popp and K. Weber, to<br />
help you quickly get to grips with the subject of <strong>Profinet</strong>. The <strong>book</strong> (in German) can be ordered<br />
from the Profibus User Organisation, Order No. 4.181.<br />
